Great olive oil has an extraordinary ability to bring other ingredients to life. This lunch is a chance to discover what happens when some of Spain’s best extra virgin olive oils meet the flavours and ingredients of Mexico.
As part of Eat Spain, Drink Spain 2026, Sarah & Olive is hosting a tasting masterclass and relaxed, family-style lunch at Picado Pantry in Dublin 8 prepared by Lily Ramirez and her team of Mexican chefs designed to show just how versatile a great olive oil can be.

What to expect
A guided olive oil tasting
Olive oil sommelier Sarah Merrigan will guide guests through a short, informal masterclass featuring a selection of extra virgin olive oils from the multi-award-winning Nobleza del Sur.
You will learn how the oils are produced, what makes each one distinctive and how to recognise the aromas, flavours and textures of an exceptional extra virgin olive oil.
A family-style Mexican lunch
The tasting will be followed by a relaxed, family-style lunch prepared by Lily Ramirez and her team of Mexican chefs at Picado.
The menu will bring together Mexican flavours and Spanish extra virgin olive oil, showing how beautifully great olive oil can work far beyond the foods we traditionally associate with it.
