More About This Olive Oil

This intensely robust olive oil comes from the heart of Andalucía near Malaga, where estate manager Victor Serrano carefully tends the organic and biodynamic groves and year after year produces olive oil that wins gold in the most prestigious competitions all over the world.
Located northwest of Antequera in Malaga on land once used by the Romans for olive oil production, the Finca la Torre farm consists of 34,000 olive trees, some planted as far back as 1840. Production is limited to just 60,000 litres per year and always sells out.
All of Finca la Torre’s production is early harvest which produces olive oil that is green and fresh with high levels of polyphenols.

Acidity in olive oil refers to the oxidation or degradation of the oil and the maximum permitted for Extra virgin Olive is .8 so this is a fabulous result.
Origin: Bobadilla, Andalucía, Spain.
Process: This premium extra virgin olive oil is obtained directly from mechanical means and temperatures never go above 27 degrees during the process, and no chemicals are used at any stage of the process. It has 0.10% acidity.
Olives are milled within an hour of being picked.
This olive oil is filtered.
Agriculture: 380 hectares in total, organically and biodynamically farmed. The farm consists of 230 hectares of olive groves and 150 hectares of pastures and Mediterranean forest.
Sustainability: Excellent. This sustainably sourced olive oil supports biodiversity.
Biodynamic farming is based on regenerative practices, and soil health is the cornerstone. Finca la Torre has been a member of Olivares Vivos for 15 years, an organisation which works to preserve and improve the biodiversity of olive groves.
